HPV

Michael Shirazi MD is available for HPV testing and consultations.

The following people may benefit from an HPV consultation with Dr. Michael Shirazi.

1. Women who have been diagnosed with HPV.
2. Men who have been diagnosed with HPV.
3. Men or women who have sexual partners with HPV.
4. Anyone who believes that they have HPV or may have been exposed to HPV.

Dr. Shirazi tests both Men and Women for HPV in his practice.

Men are tested for HPV infection the following ways.

1. Physical examination.
2. Uretheral swab.*
3. Anal swab.*

Women are tested for HPV infection the following ways.

1. Physical examination.
2. Cervical swab.
3. Anal swab.*

* The appropriateness of urtheral and anal HPV swab tests will be discussed at the time of an office visit. These tests are not performed in most doctors' offices. But we do offer these tests in our practice.
